Lisa, thanks! I believe the weed is called henbit. I was out on Friday surveying the course for Saturday’s Leprechaun Launch, and noticed them covering that field. I liked the way the purple flowers contrasted with the yellowish corn stalks.

Beautiful! Especially love the amazing shot of the purple field flowers/weeds (what are they called?). One of my favorite things about early spring in Madison County is the way they suddenly appear, bringing their soft color to the fields everywhere…

Thank you! It was one of the most amazing sky’s I’ve ever seen. So much color going on in those clouds. I’m glad I was there to record it!
And it was last night, February 24th. With the clouds clearing up, and all the wind, I expected/hoped for a good sunset…and wasn’t disappointed!

These pictures are absolutely amazing!!!! All I can say is WOW!!!!! When was this, I don’t recall seeing anything this amazing in the sky for quite awhile!!! Maybe I am just not looking at the right time.
