Edible Food Fest in Orange, VA
The second year for the Edible Food Fest in Orange. It started to rain just after we got there, and within a few minutes it was POURING!! We survived under an umbrella, others got a lot wetter!! Here are a few photos that I posted earlier today on my Instagram feed….
We came back later in the afternoon to hear Michael Coleman play at 4pm.

Hilton Head Sunrises
Yeah, I got up early on vacation for these!! I slept in a couple of mornings, but it’s usually worth it to get up early down there. I’m a little last posting these, we’ve been back for a couple of weeks now.

Madison Fireman’s Parade 2013
The heat wasn’t too bad out there if you were sitting in the shade…..but it looked like some of those in the parade were suffering a bit….although all the dogs seemed to be enjoying themselves… 🙂 (click any photo below to see the photo gallery from the parade)

Hilton Head Wildlife
We spent last week at Hilton Head, SC, our second year there. The house we rented was right on the lagoon, so we saw quite a bit more wildlife than we did last year, mostly birds, but also an aligator this year. We’d heard they were in there, so it was cool to finally see one. This one greeted us when we arrived. We went out to check out the lagoon and there he/she was in the middle of the lagoon. He soon swam over to the edge to get a closer look at us 🙂
Lots of birds. This nest was directly across the lagoon from us.
And this ray was up on the beach on Friday morning. Looks like something had bitten a chunk out of him.
