Black and White Landscapes
…actually, “Monochrome Landscapes” might be more accurate, but whatever….
One from today
Spring is still here….
Old Rag
A few photos from our hike up Old Rag today. We didn’t do the entire “Circuit” route, just did a little up and back.
Madison County Virginia Post Offices
Last week Max Lacy and I took a little drive around Madison County to photograph present, and past, Post Offices. There are still a few around the county in operation, but we also wanted to photograph some of the old, former, Post Office buildings before they are taken down. Some are in pretty rough shape….but some of them make the best pictures :-). We didn’t fine a few, Nethers and Peola Mills among them, the signs are no longer there, and we weren’t sure if the buildings are still there or not. Below are a few of the photos. You can click on any of the photos to see a slideshow with the rest of the photos.
Last Week in Pictures, April 2-8, 2012
Another week of pictures….
Spring Landscapes
Most definitely not SOC (straight out of camera)….
Beavers
I’ve photographed at this pond before, but never realized before that beavers evidently built it. I stopped by this morning looking for something scenic, saw ripples on the water even though there was no wind, then saw a beaver. There were at least four of them. They seemed to pay very little attention to me and would come within 15-20 feet at times.
Spring….
Is it okay that I usually like the iPhone photos more than the ones taken with a “real” camera? The first three are iPhone photo, the rest with a “regular” camera.
Old buildings
Love photographing old buildings. Ellen and I went out and did a little shooting yesterday evening.
And here are two from last week…
Last Week in Pictures, March 12-18, 2012
I shot this first one a few days ago, but just got around to processing it. It’s in the field out behind the silo on the Clore property…Hoover Ridge.
